Simple version of a SD-Free Unlock. There are two versions. The first is for people running just one version of Igo8 and the second is for people running two versions of Igo8 (one with Navteq maps and the other with TeleAtlas maps). Directions on how to run multiple versions of igo8 is included with the multiple version download in the "read me" file. Directions on how to install are also in the"read me" file.

Simple Unlock Lite
This is the smallest version of my SD Unlock yet. It has nothing added to it. No video players, no file viewers, nothing (hence the name). It's just a simple unlock that will allow you to launch your navigation apps. It's very small and made for the people that just want to use their devices for navigation. I included a blank page so people could add their own icons or .bmp images to so they could launch other navigation programs from their desktop. I even provided the sized .bmp images already to the correct color and size to make the process even easier. So for people who keep telling me they never use the picture viewer, calculator, video players, games, etc. I made this with you in mind. This version requires a clean start if you are using any previous releases. Please delete any previous unlock off your SD card before adding this one.

Simple Unlock for Mio H610

Included with this is PolNav (minus the maps), OziExplorer, NoniGPSPlot, and some other cool stuff. Everything should be set up, if the port and baud setting are wrong in PolNav, just have it do a search for the port and baud in the GPS settings and it will find them automatically. To use just unrar on your computer and copy the files to the SD card. The unlock will start itself when you turn on your device.

Simple Unlock for Mio c310 Devices

This is similar to the unlock above. Just unrar and copy the files to your SD card. Turn your device off using the power switch located at the bottom of the device. Put in the SD card and turn it back on. The unlock will start itself. Included with this is two video players, notepad, picture viewer, winamp, a calculator, and a few other things.

SD-Free Unlock for just the Mio c310
This SD-Free unlock is identical in apps as the SD-Unlock with the icon to launch Igo Amigo. The Iphone skin will not work with this version. I will make an Iphone skin for the SD-Free version at a later date. Directions are a little compliacted and you must be able to connect your device to your computer through Active Sync. This can be done using my SD Unlock for the c310 and then later deleting the SD Unlock off the SD card after you have installed the SD-Free version on the internal drive. I have tested this fully on my own c310 and everything works fine. This includes all the same apps as the SD Unlock version... TCPMP Player, Resco photo viewer, CorePlayer, WinAmp, calculator, etc. When you have finished copying the files to the internal drive, shut down your device using the on/off switch on the bottom of the device, take out the SD card, turn it back on. It will load like it normally does, asking you which language and the date/time. Once it loads up hit the MioMap button. This will have the unlock start. Wait 4-5 seconds and your device will automatically restart and the unlock is now loaded and you will see the unlock screen. Thanks to Bart for his inspiration on putting together an SD-Free unlock for the c310 that has all the apps the SD Unlock has.

SD-Free Unlock for both the c310/c510
Ok, I found a little extra time and put together a version of an SD-Free Unlock for the c310 or c510. It looks like the last SD-Free unlock for the c230 because I didn't have a lot of time to mess with changing the look. Included are NoniGPS, WinAmp, a picture viewer, video player, notepad, and some other cool things. Read the included Readme for instructions on how to install it. You must have my SD Unlock installed to install this (you can later delete the SD Unlock off your SD card), have Active Sync installed on your computer, and must be running MioMap 3.3. You can find how to upgrade your c310 or c510 with MioMap 3.3 in my Simple Unlock thread at gpsunderground (Thanks Bart).

Simple SD Unlock for Mio c230
This is an SD Unlock for Mio c230's. To use unrar to your computer then copy the files to the SD card. To start the unlock, pop in the SD card and start your device as normal. When it finishes loading, tap the power button on top of the device to put it in sleep mode. Tap it again to wake it up and you will be prompted if you want to start the unlock. Hit yes and then another box will pop up saying you unlocked your device. Hit ok and your device will restart and the unlock will load.

SD-Free Unlock for Mio c230
To use follow the instructions. You will also want to add an exit door for MioMap to exit MioMap and get back to the unlock screen. Directions for that are also included. The best feature of the SD-Free Unlock for the c230 is that your device will no longer load into MioMap, but instead will load to the unlock. This is great since you can launch other navigation apps without having to first exit out of MioMap. I highly recommend this, especially since I use it on my mom's c230 and it definitely enhances the use of the device.

SD Unlock for Mio c220
This is an SD Unlock designed for the Mio c220. It runs off the SD card. Make sure to follow the directions that are included with the unlock. This unlock also allows you to connect your c220 to your computer using Active Sync. It also comes with directions on how to add an exit door to MioMap.

SD-Free Unlock for Mio c220
This unlock is designed for the Mio c220. The difference between this and the c230 Unlock above is that this replaces windows explorer (which is not available on c220 devices) with CE Commander which does the same thing. Read the directions on how to install, as well as how to add an exit door to MioMap.

Igo8 for most Mio Devices (All credit for Igo8 and Amigo releases goes to JM and the other original crackers)

This page will contain the Download Links for Igo8 (all versions). I have uploaded some of these myself, and some have been uploaded by yamilrx from gpsunderground. I'll try to keep them in order.

To Clear up any confusion.... These are the steps to adding the PNA version of Igo8 to your unlocked device. More than likely the same directions will apply to all future PNA versions of Igo8:

These directions do not apply to 2 din units, just PNA devices.

1. Download the March 2nd or March 10th version of Igo8 posted below. This will be the base version since they are both full PNA versions. Unrar it to your desktop.

Version 8.3.2 (March 10th)
Here is a full version of Igo8 8.3.2 March 10th with all the .dll's, TTS, etc included... as well as the extra folder for the poi sign icons.

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Version 8.3.2 (March 2nd)
This is from my Mio devices. It's updated with the latest 8.3.2 Igo8.exe (March 2nd). Has all the needed files and .dll's for TTS for both CE 5.0 (like the c320 or c520) and CE 4.2 (like the c310 and h610). This is a full copy, minus the maps, dem, and poi files. I am currently running it on my devices. Some bugs still remain in this version, like the wake-up bug and the off road bug. People with CE 4.2 devices won't notice these bugs as much as CE 5.0 device owners. As I said, this version is complete with TTS all good to go. I also included Xerses's color schemes and DiMka's Megaduck99 skin with this version. I love that skin. You'll have to change the color schemes and the skin in the Igo8 menu to get them to work. As is, it will start with the default skin and default color schemes (until you change them in the Igo8 menu) Enjoy!!!

2. Delete the iGO8.exe and License folder from the March 2nd or March 10th release. You can do this just by opening the iGO8 folder that was unrared on your desktop and then just right click on them and delete them... also, if there is a Save folder delete that as well (if there is no save folder don't worry about it)

3. Cut the iGO8 folder off your desktop and paste it onto your SD card.

4. Download the current PNA version of iGO8 (in this case the June 25th version).

5. Unrar it onto your desktop.

6. Copy the iGO8.exe from the June 25th version (or the latest PNA version) and paste it in the iGO8 folder on your SD card.

7. Copy the License folder from the June 25th (or the latest PNA version) and paste it in the iGO8 folder on your SD card.

8. You know have the latest full version of iGO8.

You will want to add maps.... the maps will go in the specific folder located in the Content folder in the iGO8 folder.

Maps (.fbl files) go in the Map folder
Buildings (.3dl and .3dc files) go in the Building folder
Points of Interest (.poi files) go in the POI folder
Dem's (.dem files) go in the Dem folder

It's as simple as that. Hopefully this will clear up any confusion from the post below. Please take your time and follow the directions before asking questions.

New Igo8 8.3.4.102680 (August 13, 2009)

This is a new breed of Igo8 cracked by the infamous JM. There are two ways of going about using this version. The first way will allow you to continue to use skins, however some of the new features with this version won't work. The second will eliminate the ability to use skins, but you gain some new features (none of which are that important) and you are stuck using the default skin.

Method 1 (no new features but can keep using your current skin)

1. Delete your current Igo8's igo8.exe, save folder, and license folder
2. Copy the igo8.exe and license folder from the August 13th download into your Igo8 folder.

That's it.

Method 2 (can only use the default skin currently, but gain features)

1. Delete the igo8.exe, data.zip, branding.zip, save folder, and license folder from your current Igo8 folder.
2. Copy the igo8.exe, data.zip, branding.zip, and license folder from the August 13th download into your Igo8 folder. Also delete the Skin folder from the content folder, since they will most likely not work with this new version.

That's it.

New Igo8 v8.3.2.96054 June 25, 2009

This is an update PNA version. No content. Credit goes to JetMouse yet again for another great version of this software.

To use:

Delete the Igo8.exe and License folder in your current full version of igo8 8.3 and replace them with the Igo8.exe and License folder from this download:

How to get the May 28th version of Igo8

If you are in the US then personally I would go with 8.3.2 instead of 8.0. I posted links for all the download at the bottom of this post. Download them. Now, my recommendation would be to also Download the May 28th version in the Igo8 thread and take the Igo8.exe and the license folder from the May 28th version and replace those two files in the March 2nd version. From there you will want to open the sys.txt and make sure it looks like this:

[debug]
enable_roadshadow=1
show_residentonly=1
enable_roadsign=1
enable_landmark_occlusion=1
show_oneway_3d=1

If there is a save folder in the Igo8 folder delete it. Then add the Q4 US maps.... they are also called R3 maps for Igo8 8.3.2 to the map folder located in the content folder of Igo8.

The files with the maps go in specific places....

.fbl files go in the map folder
.3dc and .3dl files go in the building folder
.dem files go in the dem folder
.poi files go in the POI folder

That is all there is to it. IMO the combination of the March 2nd version with the May 28th Igo8.exe and License folder is the best version of Igo8 thus far. If you need anymore help just ask.

March 2nd version:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

May 28th version (just take the Igo8.exe and license folder from this and put them in the March 2nd version)
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Q4 US Maps:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

That should be all you need. Make sure to edit the sys.txt accordingly and also to delete the save folder in the Igo8 folder if there is one. Oh and double check and make sure that you only have the one license file in the license folder (it should be the one from the May 28th version) because the March 2nd license files are not compatible with the May 28th Igo8.exe.

Version 8.3.2 (March 10th)
Here is a full version of Igo8 8.3.2 March 10th with all the .dll's, TTS, etc included... as well as the extra folder for the poi sign icons.

Version 8.3.2 (March 2nd)
This is from my Mio devices. It's updated with the latest 8.3.2 Igo8.exe (March 2nd). Version 8.3.1 (Sept 12th and Aug version)
This is designed to combine both the Sept 12th version and August version. I recommend this because I think it provides the best version of Igo8 8.3.1 available for the mio c320 and c520.
Download Link for Sept 12th version:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]
Download Link for August version (thanks Sascos):
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]
Directions for getting the best version of Igo8 (8.3.1) on your device:
1. Download the Sept 12 version above
2. Unzip on your computer
3. Delete the Igo8.exe, data.zip, and branding.zip from the Igo8 folder (if there is a folder called "save" delete that as well, if there isn't then no big deal)
4. Download the August version above
5. Unzip on your computer (make sure not to unzip it in the same spot you unzipped the Sept 12 version, otherwise it will overwrite that version and that is not good... might want to make a folder on your desktop called "Aug" and unzip it in there)
6. Copy the Igo8.exe from the Aug version and paste it in the Sept 12 version where you deleted it in step 3
7. Repeat step 6 with the data.zip
8. Repeat step 6 with the branding.zip

Yamilrx 8.3.2 version for the h610:
This version was put together especially for h610 owners. The March 2nd version on top of the page should work, but since the h610 isn't a typical mio in case it doesn't then you can try this version.

Igo8 8.0.0 Nov 6th version

This is a really good working version of Igo8 8.0.0. This version uses TeleAtlas maps, where the 8.3 versions use Navteq maps. The reason I keep this version around and on my devices is because some areas are better covered with Navteq maps and other areas are better covered with TeleAtlas maps. Since it just uses SD card space, I don't see why people can't run both versions (additional instructions on how to run both versions can be found on my Simple Unlock Mods page).
Directions:
Since I uploaded this myself and it is a complete version (minus the maps), it took me splitting it into three parts. Download all three parts then unrar them into a folder called Igo8 on your computer. You'll have to unrar each part individually, just make sure to unrar them all into the same folder.

Destinator 8:

Here you will find Destinator 8. I find this software to be simplistic looking, but it has good routing and if you have room on your SD card it can be a nice addition to your mio device. It will run on most mio's.

Destinator v8.0.20.21.1
Requirements: WinCE 4.2 or 5.0 (verified on both)
Overview: This was released with the newest Omnitech GPS from Staples. The Destinator website does not list v8 as a product so I'm not sure if this version was made specifically for the Omnitech. It is definitely different from v7 so I'm pretty sure it is not just another v7 update.

Thanks to mylnym for this. I saw he posted it in another forum.

You should have posted it here first not at the other place Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see images.. Still much appreciated. I am sure Canadians will be thrilled to have some new maps. I still use Destinator a lot. The maps didn't work with my D7 version, but work great with Destinator 8.

New Q1 2009 US Maps for Destinator 8:

Special thanks to ronp76 for these. The maps work fine with the cracked version of Destinator 8 in this thread. Just replace your old map folders with the new ones and you are good to go.

Here is the Destinator Program from the GPS for Dummies device. No need to crack it, it works as is. You will need to change the baud and port settings to match your device's baud and port settings. You make that change in the Destinator.ini file located in the MobileNavigator folder. This only supports 480x272 resolution. It has TTS and works with the above maps.

Destinator 7 (7.0.24.108):

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Remember it only supports 480x272 resolution devices and you will need to change the port and baud settings to match your device. Enjoy.... and once again thank Ron.

Directions for Using the above Destinator 7:

1. Copy the MobileNavigator folder from the download to the root of your SD card (do not rename it or put it in any other folders)
2. Make another folder called DestinatorAPPS on the root of your SD card. You will put the map folders into the DestinatorAPPS folder you just made. The DestinatorAPPS folder cannot be in any other folders on the SD card... so this program requires the DestinatorAPPS folder and the MobileNavigator folder to both be on the root of the SD card.

Directions:

Here is what I did. First I made a folder on my computer desktop called Destinator. I then downloaded the Destinator program and unrar'ed it into the folder "Destinator" I made on my computer desktop. I then downloaded each map part (rar files). I just unrar'ed them to the same "Destinator folder I unrar'ed the program files to. Simple as that. Since they unrar into a folder already named correctly, just unrar them into that Destinator folder. When you are done, then copy the huge Destinator folder that you unrar'ed everything into onto your SD card. You should be good to go, as long as you have your device unlocked and can access the Destinator.exe. If you are using my unlock, you can always use Explorer to do this, or the User apps. If you want to make an icon to launch it, then you can do that as well. It's really not that complicated. Just unrar everything into the same folder you you should be good to go... well that and fixing the baud rate and port number explained below:
If you plan on using it on a mio c320 or c520 then you'll have to:

Go to the \Storage Card\Destinator\UserData open the GPSTMC.ini and you have to change some numbers there to:
PORT=2
BAUD_RATE=57600

You'll see it has a different port and baud rate, just change it to the numbers I used above.

To get the "quit" button to exit the program, just change the skin in the settings menu after the program loads to the other skin provided. This way you can easily exit the program. Have fun with it. I have been toying with it for a couple days now and I like it. It isn't as quick as Igo8, but the routing might even be better than Igo8.

For c310 Owners (and h610 owners):
For C310x owner.

change this and it'll works

\Storage Card\Destinator\UserData open the GPSTMC.ini and you have to change some numbers there to:
PORT=2
BAUD_RATE=4800

Garmin XT for Mio c320 and c520 (Thanks to RedSox 2004)

Ok, I also uploaded the Garmin stuff along with JM's Keygen 1.5. You only need it for unlocking the Garmin software, if you use unlocked maps. You should be able to find them in the download section. All you need to do is to use JM's unlock to generate the map unlock key and save it in the Garmin root folder.

To install the Garmin software, all you need to do are

1) Unzip the package and copy the Garmin folder to your SD card. The port splitter is in the runGMxt folder. If you click garmin excutable, it will run the port splitter first than lauch the Garmin software.

2) After you copy the whole Garmin folder to the root of the SD card, you need to launch the Garmin program. It will tell you that you have no license blah blah, just ignore it. Without license, it will tell you that it cannot locate Garmin GPS device and ask if you want to connect to other GPS, you choose no and continue.

3) Eventually you will see the option manu. Click the Wrench icon in the bottom, then choose setting (another wrench icon) in the next menu. Scroll to the next menu choose about (a blue round global Garmin icon). Once you see about, it has two numbers, Device ID and Card ID. All you need is the second number, the Card ID.

4) Record the Card ID and put it into JM's Key Gen and choose the GarminXT as software. Click the generate button to generate the license.

5) Put the license string in notepad and save it as SW.UNL. (Make sure you do not save as sw.unl.txt). Copy the SW.UNL to the root of the Garmin folder on your SD card and relaunch the Garmin program. You should be all set.

Please let me know if you have any questions and enjoy.

TOMTOM 7.34

Ok... here is my TomTom from my devices. I also included the keygen as well as directions for the keygen. You'll have to download the maps yourself. Once you have the maps, you'll want to use the keygen on your computer. You'll just take 2 files from the maps and put them in the keygen. Once you are done with it, it will create a .dct file. You'll move the .dct file to your maps. Now, I didn;t include the maps.... Here is a step by step for adding TomTom:

1. Download my version of Tom Tom from:

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

2. Unrar it on your computer

3. Download the maps from the TomTom forum. Look for the 825XX maps. If you are in the US or Canada, download the 2210 maps.... they are the newest.

4. Unrar the maps onto your computer.... you'll unrar them twice. The first time will unrar a bunch of .rar files. Then unrar the .rar files.

5. Copy the maps files (all of the ones after the second uarar) into the Navigator folder that was made when you unrar'ed my TomTom version

6. Copy the Navigator folder (with the maps you added to it) onto your SD card

7. Use the newer version of my SD-Free unlock that I will be uploading for you... with the TomTom icon to launch TomTom Put the new Unlock on your device before trying to run TomTom for the first time!!! (The first time you run TomTom it will say your maps aren't activated... this is OK, since what it will do is create a ttnavigator file on your SD card which will contain your device ID that you will need to unlock the maps)

8. Unrar the KeyGen (pass is demonfatal) onto your computer.

9. Open the KeyGen Directions for additinal support.

10. Open the ttnavigator file with notepad. There you will see something like this:

[TomTom NAVIGATOR]
DeviceName=MITAC TRY_OEM
DeviceVersionHW=Windows CE 5.0
DeviceSerialNumber=C8666B5F0C739581D8FAF7D08298FDD E

UserPatchDatVersion=102
CompressedPatchVersion=150
MapServerPatchDatVersion=104
DeletedPoiDatVersion=200
ServerLineIndexDatVersion=102
ServerNameIndexDatVersion=102

You only are interested in the DeviceUniqueID number... that you will copy to the DeviceID.txt in the keygen.... just delete the XXXX-XXXXX that is there and copy and paste your DeviceUniqueID number in it's place. Then save it.

11. Go back to your SD card and cut and paste these two files:

USA_and_Canada-29.meta (233kb) and USA_and Canada.pna (1kb) into the:

Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher\insert_m eta_from_Map_here folder.

12. Start the keygen by running the:

Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher\RunMefor DCT.cmd

13. NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT--- the directions in the keygen directions is wrong. When the screen pops up, choose Option 2 since it matches the version of TomTom 7.4 that you are using. Then choose Option 1 when the next option screen comes up. Then hit "enter" on your computer.

14. That will create a USA_and_Canada.meta (1kb) file with the other two file you put in the:
Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher\insert_m eta_from_Map_here folder

15. Copy all three files into your Navigator folder on your SD card... it might ask you to overwrite those files if they are there... hit yes (since you want the ones you just made with the keygen)

16. Start TomTom again and this time the maps are activated... and you are good to go.

PolNav:

On this page you'll find the easiest software to get running on your Mio's. It doesn't have TTS, but it does give excellent driving directions with a very clear voice. It also is one of the nicest looking softwares I have seen yet.
Cracked Polnav 5 Software:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Polnav North America 2008 Maps (along with other areas) can be found at:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Directions:

1. First download the Cracked Polnav program. Unrar it on your computer and transfer the Polnav folder and it's contents to your SD card.

2. Download the North America file from the website above. It takes a long time, so make sure you can spare 6-10 hours to leave your computer running (Canada is in the North America Download).

3. Unrar the file you downloaded from the above website.

4. Take just the "Map" folder from the file you got from the [Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register] website and use it to replace the Map folder in the cracked version I uploaded. That will do it. When you start the program the maps will automatically be registered and it will get the satellite signal quickly and automatically when you run the program. Just know you need to use the polnav_rm_release.exe to launch the program. Don't rename this file, otherwise the maps won't be registered. I learned this after several trial and errors. If you make an icon to launch this program from the unlock, make sure it points to that .exe. If you use the "User" program to launch it, again just use that .exe. I think everyone will agree this is some really nice looking software. I also think people will like how fast the menu is. Anyways, enjoy and if you have any questions just ask in the Question and Answer part of the Tutorial Forum.

Special Note if PolNav loads in a different language than
English the first time you run it:
I forgot that the first time I ran PolNav it was in some Asian language. I thought I took care of that when I uploaded it from my device (my thought was my settings would transfer over into the upload). Anyways, if it loads in a different language like for the menu buttons and such, here is how to change it to English:

1. When it loads to the map at start up, tap the screen to bring up the blue page with the different buttons.

2. At the bottom of the menu page there are 4 buttons. Hit the second button at the bottom (that is the settings button) although it might look like Japanese or something to you. We are gonna fix that.

3. A page will load with 3 buttons. Hit the big button top left (not on the black bar) This big button is the general setting button

4. Another menu page will load with 6 buttons. You want to hit the second button down on the left side. So, it on the left, the second button down. That is the language button.

5. Another page will load with two choices with little arrows. The top is text. You'll want to hit the little arrow changing it to English... then at the bottom of the page are two buttons. The one at the bottom left is "Apply" and the one of the bottom right is "Cancel". These are at the very bottom of the screen. Hit the one on the left. And now the text will be in English. Then you can go back to that same menu and change the voice.

6. When you hit "Apply" it will save that setting and load in English every from there on out.
It might be confusing, but is easily done. What I did was look through the icons in the program to figure out what the buttons were so I could menuever to change the text to English. But the directions above will guide you to the right spot really easy. I applogize, I didn't know it was going to load in another language.

If you use the Purple Buttons skin or Red Buttons skin with the Simple Unlock V2 unlock, then your icon for PolNav is already set up and you can launch it using that icon. If you use a different skin for my unlock, then you can either create your own icon (directions on my Simple Unlock Mods page) or use the User Apps program to launch PolNav.

Navigon 7.3
Thanks to cyprurom for this upload...
Here is a simple way for c320, c520, and c720 owners to enjoy Navigon 7.3.4 on their devices. Just download the program, unrar it on your computer, put the files in a folder called Navigon on your SD card, add the maps and you are good to go.

Program Download for US users:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Program Download for European Users (thanks traveller):

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Unrar and ROOT means name of your SDHC card (eg Storage card on my Mio C520). Go to \Strorage Card\Navigon\Navigon\Navigon.exe. Don't use Autorunce.exe (in \Strorage Card\Navigon). Don't know if it is really necessary but just left it there. Included is a map of Andorra (small) to test.
Tested in Scotland & Poland works fine. Not yet tried cross border.

Navigon Q2 2009 US Maps for Navigon 7.3.4 version above
These are new maps Q2 2009 Maps for the 7.3.4 US version of Navigon above. I just updated my Navigon on my c320 with these. To use, just download the states you want and unrar them. Then just copy the map file in the Map folder located in your Navigon folder. Then download the aditional files below them and follow the included directions.

Ok.... I simplified things for the newer maps below. This is the Navigon 7.3.4 off my c320. It's all updated with the Q2 2009 US stuff except the individual .map files. So all you have to do is add the individual states into the map folder from the individual states below.... everything else is already updated including the POI files. I can't make it any easier... just download the states you want and add them to the map folder.... like Kentucky.map or Ohio.map... just put into the map folder and that is it.

Here is the link... the file is large and I am not going to mirror it. If you can't download it because it says all servers are full, then try copying and pasting pasting the link into your web browser. Filefactory doesn't seem to like it when people get there from forums:

MioMap 3.3 and Maps

This page is dedicated for North America maps and MioMap 3.3 upgrade for h610 owners. I'll update this page if newer maps ever become available.

Upgrade for Mio H610's from MioMap 3.2 to MioMap 3.3
If you are still running MioMap 3.2 on your Mio h610, then this is a simple way to update it to MioMap 3.3. Thanks to yamilrx at gpsunderground for his work on this. Just replace the files on your h610. Always make a backup copy of the originals first.

The Best North America Miomap Maps Available:
Although the people at Mio basically screwed people over who own c320's and c520's, there is one decent set of maps available for people that still use miomap 3.3 on their devices. These are the 7.07 Premium Maps with 12 million POI's. They are nearly 2GB in size (if you download every state), but are probably the best set that will ever be available for miomap. To use them, you will first want the cracked miomap.exe, miomap.exe.id, and license.db files. You can find where to get those on either my Tutorials Forum or the Other Useful Links page. Step by step instructions are on my Tutorials Forum page in the tutorials. Thanks to Dr. Who at gpsunderground for the link.
Download Link:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

These maps are for Miomap 3.3, not Igo8 or any other software. Maps for miomap are not compatible with Igo8 and maps for Igo8 are not compatible with miomap. So please don't ask why these maps won't work with your Igo8 or why the 2008 maps won't work in your miomap. Thanks.

Adding Newer Maps to MioMap 3.3
Here will be the basic instructions for adding newer maps to your Miomap.
Download the .zip file for your device from: [Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]
password is the url.

You can also get the cracked MioMap.exe, MioMap.exe.id, and license.db files for the c320, c520, and c720 from this link:

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

The directions on how to install the cracked files are included in the rapidshare upload above. From there you can use any MioMap maps you want, however keep in mind the maps must be for MioMap or igo2006... so Igo8 maps will not work in MioMap.

Unzip the file you download and just look for the miomap.exe, miomap.exe.id, and license.db files, disregard the rest of the download.
What you will need. In order to get newer maps (I recommend the 7.07 maps with 12 million POI's) is a newer miomap.exe, miomap.exe.id, and license.db files. These are necessary for your newer maps not to be locked. There is a link on where to get them on my Other Useful Links page. Once you have those do the following:

1. Hook your mio to your computer and go into the internal flash drive.
2. Go into the Miomap folder and then into the other Miomap folder inside that one.
3. Find your miomap.exe and rename it to miomap.exe.orig
4. Find your miomap.exe.id and rename that to miomap.exe.id.orig
5. Find your license.db and rename that to license.db.orig
We do all this renaming as a backup measure so you still have the files on your device.
6. Copy your new miomap.exe, miomap.exe.id, and license.db onto your internal flash disk in the same place as the ones you just renamed
7. If you have a c320 you won't be able to put the 7.07 Premium US maps on your internal drive because they are bigger than the 1GB of space on your card. So you will need an SD card. You don't have to delete your original maps off your internal drive, because miomap will automatically use the newest maps.
Where to put New Maps
8. On your SD card make a folder called Miomap
Open the Miomap folder you just made and make another folder called Maps inside it.
Now open the Maps folder you just made and copy all the new 7.07 Premium maps into the folder.

9. Do a hard shut down (holding the power button on top of your Mio for 5-10 seconds until the screen comes up with the options to "Shut Down" or "Restart" click shut down. Then wait a few seconds and hold down the power button to start it back up. When you launch miomap you will now see the newer maps.
A lot of people ask me "How can I tell which maps I am using or which version of Miomap I am using?"

Go to your miomap advanced settings and you'll see a button called "About" click that and it will tell you what version of miomap you are using. While there you'll see a button called "maps" click that and it will tell you what maps you are using.

Adding TTS to MioMap 3.3 (especially for c320's)
Instructions on how to add Text to Speech on your Mio c320:
Before you can add TTS you will have to make some room on your internal flash drive inside your mio. You can do this by connecting it to your computer and moving a few of the maps. I recommend moving Alaska, Texas, and Florida for now. Or you can just remove them all by copying them to your computer. I personally put all my maps on my SD card. You can do that by creating a folder on your SD card called Miomap and then making another folder inside that folder called Maps and just cut and paste all your maps onto your SD card. That way you'll know you have plenty of room on your internal flash drive.

1) Down Load TTS_PPC. zip at [Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]
After downloading the file above, you must make some folders on your Mio's internal flash drive. Hook your mio to your computer and go into the mio's flash drive. There you will see a folder called Miomap, open it. In that you will see another folder called Miomap, open that one. Now you should see the files that run miomap. You'll know you are in the right place because you will see miomap.exe, license.db, etc. Now right click and make a new folder. Rename this new folder tts_ppc then open that folder and make another folder inside that called Speech. You will need to create those two folders for TTS to work.

2) Extract the TTS_PPC.zip on your pc. It will create a TTS_PPC/SPEECH folder that contains two folders (components and rssolo). Just highlight the SPEECH folder in Windows Explorer and "copy".

3) Go to the /MIOMAP/MIOMAP/tts_ppc folder. You will see the folder called "Speech" that you created. Now copy the extracted SPEECH folder (from the downloaded TTS_PPC.zip file) to this location. It will ask you if you want to overwrite/merge the files, click yes.
4) Copy the downloaded files v_tts_nu_eng_us_f2.zip straight into the /MIOMAP/MIOMAP/VOICE folder of your Mio. Please note, you do NOT unzip these files first.

5) From the same download in step 1 you'll find 3 .dll files that are needed for your TTS to work. They are called RSSOLOAPI.DLL, COMBRK.DLL, and COMRSRC.DLL. You will need to copy those onto your Mio's internal flash drive as well. They go in the same place where you created the tts_ppc. Basically those 3 .dll's must be in the same location as your miomap.exe file in the Miomap/Miomap folder.
When you finish with that you have the option of moving some of the maps back onto your flash drive. You don't have to do that if you moved them onto your SD card as explained above. It's really up to you. It should be noted not all the maps will fit back onto your internal flash drive, but you can have some there and some on your SD card. Miomap will find them even if some maps are on the SD card and some are on the internal flash.

6) Disconnect your Mio from your computer
7) Go to MioMaps

8 ) Click on Setting

9) Click on Maps

10) Click on Voice Language and pick English (US) TTS - Samantha TTS

11) Click back arrow until your at your map

YOU'RE ALL DONE!!

MioMap 3.3 Update for devices with MioMap 3.2

This is an update of 3.3 for mio devices running MioMap 3.2. It uses quicksilver's skin and is set up for devices with 320x240 resolution. Make sure you save your maps, and then just copy this version over your 3.2 version, or better yet, remove your current 3.2 version, add this version in it's place and then add your maps.

Amigo for c310 and h610 (All credit goes to JM and the other original crackers)

People kept asking me for a working copy of Amigo for their c310 and h610... so here it is. TTS still isn't perfect... it stutters some still and sometimes gives that crackle sound on my h610. Hopefully someone will figure it out. I tested a dozen different TTS files and lex file combinations and this is the best I could come up with. This is the March release of Amigo. You will have to add the maps, POI, dem, and building files.

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

C310 owners will have to open the system.ini in the save folder and delete this line:

[rawdisplay]
class="portrait"

Those lines are just needed for the h610.

If you mange to get TTS to work better please share what you did with the group. As is, TTS is useable, but has room for imporvement. The non-TTS voices work fine in this upload.

Amigo from my Mom's c230

This is a good to go version for c230 owners... has TTS all set up as well as the port and baud settings. Just add maps, building, poi, and dem files and you will be all set up and ready to hit the road.

Updates:

This is an SD-Free Unlock for people that just use MioMap and Igo8:

Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see images.

I made this because it does seem like a lot of people just use MioMap and Igo8 on their devices. This makes things easy for them. Again, this is for the Mio c320, c520, or c720. It is SD-Free. Just follow the directions included. It is small enough that you might be able to fit it on your internal drive without moving anything.

I made this as a custom unlock for a member of a forum. I liked the way it turned out so much that I had to share it with everyone. It's an SD-Free Unlock for the Mio c320, c520,and c720. I have grown tired and my c520 is looking like it needs a new LCD screen. So until I get a job and make some money, this looks like it will be it for me. Please enjoy my last present. If anyone has a working LCD screen for a c320, c520, or c720 that they can part with please message me. I will be greatly appreciative if someone can spare the part. I am broke, so I am kind of looking for a donation here. Please, if you have compassion and have enjoyed my work, as well as my sharing of information at gpsunderground, I would very much appreciate being able to salvage my c520. Anyways.... here is the link for this new unlock:

One Last present from me to c320, c520, and c720 owners:

Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see images.

I have talked to a lot of people over the years and have taken their requests into account when thinking of ways to design an unlock. Well, one of the most requested things has to do with the simplicity of the interface. Now, all my unlocks accomplish this to a degree and I decided to put out a version that works on only 2 pages. The first has the eight navigational softwares I find that are the best and worth having. The second page has buttons for settings, the MP3 player, video player, calculator, and the USB connection option (so you can switch between active sync and the normal mass storage device mode). This Unlock accomplishes this with very sharp detail. I actually use this on my device now only because I recognize the usefulness of having all the buttons for the navigation softwares all on the same page. I figure why not share it with everyone else as my final unlock. I call it the Less is More Unlock, only because it uses less pages than my other unlocks.

Download Link for the Less is More Unlock:

New SD Unlock version of the above Unlock

I decided to make an SD Unlock version of the above unlock. This way people that still like to have the unlock on the SD card can have this unlock as well. Just unrar and copy to your SD card. There is also instructions on how to use both TeleAtlas and Navteq maps in the same version of Igo8. If you do not want to do this then I will post directions on how to change this feature for people that only want to use one set of maps.... the directions will be posted below the link:

Download link for SD Unlock version of Less is More Unlock:

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

Directions on how to change the SD Unlock version from using two sets of maps in Igo8 to using just one:

1. Open the Skin folder for the Unlock
2. Open the Main folder inside that
3. Open the Main.ini file inside the Main folder... just double click on it
4. Look for these lines:

BITMAPBUTTON
x = 113
y = 60
NewIni = ..\Main\Igo.ini
BitmapNormal = ..\Icons\igoq.bmp
BitmapPushed = ..\Icons\igoq2.bmp
ShutDownAnimation = NoAnimation

Change them to look like this:

BITMAPBUTTON
x = 113
y = 60
Command = \Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe
BitmapNormal = ..\Icons\igoq.bmp
BitmapPushed = ..\Icons\igoq2.bmp

5. Make sure you delete that ShutDownAnimation line otherwise you will get an error message.

6. Save it.

Now when you tap the Igo8 button it will no longer ask you which set of maps to use, instead it will launch Igo8 and just use the one set of maps you have in your igo8\content\map folder.

Updated SD-Free Unlock for Mio c230

***New Cadillac SD-Free Version for c320, c520 or c720***
This version has some added features. I included a text editor, keyboard, games, buttons to launch every navigation program I can think of, calculator, coreplayer, shinco player, Mass Storage and Active Sync support, and more (even more than the Deluxe Version). This is an SD-Free unlock so read the directions on how to install it. This is the Cadillac of my c320, c520,or c720 SD-Free Unlocks.

***New Crazy Frog SD-Free Minimal Version for c320, c520, or c720***
This version is minimal in the sense that I didn't include any extras. There are buttons to launch the 6 most popular navigation programs (MioMap, Igo8, Amigo, Navigon, TomTom, and GarminXT), as well as icons to launch your mio's mp3 player, windows explorer, mio settings, and the mio power option screen. The blue down arrow will bring up the other 3 icons. This installs like my other SD-Free versions... copy the Apps folder on the root of your internal drive, open the MioMap folder and rename the second MioMap folder on your device to Mio3, copy the miomap and launchpad folders from the unlock into the first MioMap folder on your internal drive. Now when your device starts, when you hit the MioMap button the unlock screen will appear.

SD-Free h610 Unlock
This version is similar to the SD versions in appearance. Included is OziExplorer and NoniGPS, just like the versions above. The difference is this version runs off the internal drive and does not come with PolNav (You can still get PolNav from my thread at gpsunderground). This version of the unlock has been altered so that there is no restart when the unlock loads, instead the unlock desktop will just pop up when you hit the MioMap button (like with most of my other SD-Free Unlocks). Because of this, I had to take off the notepads. What we end up with is a clean, fast starting, way of launching other navigation programs on your device. You can find versions of the programs that will work on the h610 in my Simple Unlock thread at gpsunderground.... Enjoy!!

New SD-Free Unlock with Skin Changer (Includes Dmenace's Spirit Skin)
This unlock includes the ability to change backgrounds. I included a variance of my skin, my Crazy Frog skin, and Dmenace's Spirit skin (because it was that damn good!!!). To change skins just hit the "x" in the upper right hand corner or the "gps" in the upper right hand corner of Dmenace's skin.

***Added Clock and Background for SD-Free Unlock with Skin Changer***
This is for the unlock above. It's a new Launchpad folder that you just use in place of the one in the above download. What I added was a new background image to my skin and a clock. I like the clock page, especially when I am driving and not really using my GPS for navigation. I also included quick access buttons on the clock page, you can see them in the pics. This still has the skin changer as well as Dmenace's Spirit skin and the Frog skin. To use, just delete the Launchpad folder from the above download off your device and replace it with the one from this download. Remember to unrar it first.

Another version of the unlock above just with a different background image. I wasn't a fan of the purple so I found something a little cooler. This still has the skin changer with Demenace's skin and my Frog skin. It also includes the clock. This is a complete version of the unlock, not just the Launchpad folder. To use it just follow the same directions as my other SD-Free Unlocks where you copy the Apps folder to your c320, c520, or c720's internal drive, then open the MioMap folder on your device and rename the second MioMap folder to Mio3, then copy the MioMap folder and Launchpad folder from the unlock into the first MioMap folder on your device (where you renamed the second MioMap folder to Mio3) Enjoy!!

This design and some other additional features comes from navx2vad here at gpsunderground. SD Unlock for Mio Moov from Z4R4R (480x272)

These are excellent unlocks put together by Z4R4R at gpsunderground. He is also the one that fixed the MioMap launching problem. He deserves big props for his work as well as his efforts on beautifying and perfecting the skins for these unlocks. I messed with them some on my computer and really like his features. He calls them "hidden button" skins. It seems fitting, given the headlights on the Mercedes skin launch iGO8 and MioMap and the windshield launches coreplayer. On the Magnum skin different parts of the truck launch the various programs. I highly recommend trying them out. To use them just download, unrar, and then copy the unrar'ed folders to your SD card. Enjoy and be sure to thank him over at gpsunderground.com.

Moov 200 SD Unlock (320x240) Thanks to Z4R4R
This is another gem created by Z4R4R. He felt bad that Moov 200 owners were being forgotten and adapted one of my other unlocks to work on the Moov 200. He is getting very fast and very good at this. This is an SD Unlock, so just download, unrar, and then copy the folders onto your SD card. Enjoy and show him some appreciation at gpsunderground.com.

New Bleep55 Simple SD-Free Unlock for the c230
This was put together by Bleep55 at gpsunderground. He included a modified version of Dmenace's Spirit skin as well as some elements of my various unlocks into how own designs. With this, c230 owners have the option of 6 different skins. One of them is the clock similar to the one I just put out on the c320 unlock. He did a nice job on this unlock with a skin option. Good work and I recommend checking it out.

Univeral SD-Free 480x272 Version

Well, I figured since so many non-mio owners were asking me to adapt my unlocks for them that it would be easier just to put out a universal unlock that should work on most CE 4.2 and CE 5.0 devices. Now, you will need to do some editing to make it specific to your device, but I was kind enough to put a complete tutorial with the unlock. Since it is a universal unlock I included buttons for every navigation software I could think of.... as you can see in the screen shots. If you follow the directions exactly you can have this up and running on your PNA. There is a 480x272 version and 320x240 version. Oh... and yes it will work on a Mio... like I said most any CE 4.2 or CE 5.0 PNA will do. (Moov owners should use the Moov Unlocks since these unlocks are not set up to run on a Moov)

With the included "detailed" instructions, this should meet most people's needs. You will need to know what your device calls the internal drive and what it calls the SD Card, and edit it accordingly. The directions are very long, this is so even newer people can get it to run on their devices. Hopefully this will be one of the last unlocks I make. This way people that keep asking me to edit my Mio unlocks for their devices can have something too... and via the instructions can easily modify this to work on their devices. Like I said, it should work on most CE 4.2 and CE 5.0 core devices with 480x272 resolution and the one below for people with 320x240 resolution, both have a button for every navigation software I could possibly think of. I even included some more in the icons folder that aren't on the desktop that people can add themselves. Enjoy.

Here is the 320x240 version of my Universal Unlock for most CE 4.2 and CE 5.0 devices. Just follow the included tutorial and directions and you should be fine.

How to convert the Universal SD-Free Unlock to be an SD Unlock:

To make these unlocks SD Unlocks on an older Mio (like the c320):

1. Open the rename.txt file and edit it to look like this:

call "\Storage Card\LAUNCHPAD\SystemInformation.exe

Save it as "All files"

2. Rename the rename.exe and rename.txt file to MioAutoRun.exe and MioAutoRun.txt

3. Copy the MioAutoRun.exe and MioAutoRun.txt (that you just renamed) to the root of your SD Card.

4. Edit the .ini files as needed to point to the .exe for the programs you want to run. You will also need to edit the command lines for the restart and CECMD.exe so that they know to look on your Storage Card and not your Internal Drive.

5. Copy the Launchpad folder and Apps folder to the root of your SD Card.

There you have it... SD Unlock. Now, on an older mio it means putting the device into sleep mode, then waking it back up to get the unlock to start.... but on any device that will read the SD card and launch an .exe then the same theory can apply.

Editing for a Moov:

Now, we all know the Moov's need a Cobia file specific to their device in order to unlock it. Well if you wanted to use one of these on a Moov as an SD Unlock then create the Cobia folder that is specific to your device on the SD Card. Then do the following:

1. Open the rename.txt and change the call line to this:

call "\Storage Card\LAUNCHPAD\SystemInformation.exe

Save it as "All Files"

2. Rename the rename.exe and rename.txt to Auto.exe and Auto.txt and then copy them into your Cobia folder on your SD Card.

3. Edit the .ini files in the Launchpad\Main folder... changing the command lines to the navigation programs you use. Also change the command lines for the restart and CECMD.exe so it looks for them on the Storage Card and not the Internal Drive:

Command = \Storage Card\Apps\CECMD.exe

there is an example.

4. Copy the Launchpad and Apps folders to the root of your Storage Card.

There you have it... now it is an SD Unlock that will work on a Moov.

This is for WinCE OS. It will also install quite well through Windows Vista as long as you have a connection to your PC.

This is just the install file for it, I believe. I also have the original full package with other platform exes. I will try and upload that as well,asap.

edit: This actually is the full package.

Default Trial version of SD-Free c310 Unlock

SD-Free Unlock for c310
Ok, I found a little extra time and put together a trial version of an SD-Free Unlock for the c310. It looks like the last SD-Free unlock for the c230 because I didn't have a lot of time to mess with changing the look. Included are NoniGPS and WinAmp. I haven't had time to try other stuff out yet. Read the included Readme for instructions on how to install it. You must have MioTransferHack to install and must be using MioMap 3.3 on your c310 (you can find MioMap 3.3 upgrade in the first post thanks to Bart).

Bart... the reason is that one little .dll that needs to be loaded into windows for Resco to work. With the SD-Free method these unlocks use, there is no registry strings or .dll's installed. You also lose active sync since that requires a registry to work. This method isn't like MP or my SD Unlocks that install and then restart the device. The method the SD-Free Unlocks on my website use is just replacing what the original icon on the mio launches.... basically causing the miomap button to launch the systeminformation.exe that launches the desktop. So it is limited to apps that can run independtly of any need for registries or installation of .dll's into the windows CE on the device. Hope that makes sense. You can try running Resco off an SD card through windows explorer to see if you can get it to run with the SD-Free Unlock. I plan to do so myself when I have time to actually put it on my c310. I am also trying to find a good picture viewer for my other SD-Free unlocks. This is no easy task since most are designed for WM and require an actual install that will either add it's own registry or force CE users to create a registry for it and then have it loaded into the device when the unlock starts. I am sure there is a workaround using mortscript, however my attempts to have mortscript call a registry from a file haven't worked. With this trial version people can let me know how everything goes. My biggest concern is mortscript on CE 4.2 devices. It can be a little more tricky. Hopefully I'll get some feedback on this and will have time this week to maybe add to it. I would like to get coreplayer going as well as some of the text editors. I don't think those will be as much of an issue though as getting resco or another photo viewer to work.

Xtyler, thanks for quick reply. I am using the very simple unlock, which was designed for C310 (with just 2 files, AutoRunCE.c31 and AutoRunCE.exe in the SD card). I have only one line in .c31 file to run the SystemInformation.exe. And I am using your Iphone skin with the icons just pointing to various navigation apps. Besides this I got some simple utilities from your utils folder and I manually installed TCPMP player. Now all I need is a picture viewer. I was unable to find a cab file for it.
I misread your post. You are running the SD Unlock, which means the version of resco with it should work on your device. I am assuming you chose that unlock because it is set up for CE 4.2. If you are running CE 5.0 then you should be able to use Resco from the V3 Unlock for the c320. Just take the folder with Resco in it and put it somewhere in the unlock and it should work. That or XNViewer. Both are worth trying. I thought you were looking for one to run with it using one of the SD-Free unlocks... been a long night Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see images.

Try one of those and see if it works on your device since it seems to have 480x272 resolution. Also, if you are running CE 5.0, you might try taking the .dll's from the V3 unlock and putting them in the unlock folder since they are more suited for CE 5.0, where the c310 .dll's are designed for CE 4.2.

Bart851,
I can access the WinCE, but when I connect it to PC, it will show as a Mass Storage Device. If I change the registry to "Serial_Class", PC won't recognize it all.

Xtyler,
XNViewer is working now, I had to copy aygshell.dll to windows folder. Resco is not working even after copying all the DLLs from your unlock version V3 to windows folder. I couldn't find any registry entries for this also.
That is because the Resco with the c310 unlock is for CE 4.2 and also might not support your resolution. I thought I had resco in one of my other unlocks. Maybe not. I did find another one that should work:

I found the one that worked very well. It isn't the best, but so far it's worth to try. After so many searches, here is the link

[Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register]

The name of the file is: "gq151hpce.zip" under "Palm-size PC CE 2.11 / Handheld PC CE 2.11 later (MIPS/ARM)".

Here are some tips after unzipped:
1) copy 3 files from the ARM folder to \My Flash Disk\Pictures\ using ActiveSync.
2) From \My Flash Disk\Pictures\ double tap on "GQe.exe". Now, you have a Picture Viewer on your Mio desktop. For quick access, you can create a shortcut on the desktop.

Note: When you run this program the first time, you need to setup the location of pictures such as \My Flash Disk\Pictures\ or \Storage Card\Pictures\ etc.

You can view .jpg, .png, .bmp. Also, you can zoom in/out, view full screen, and set color up to 65535! The only thing missing is that it doesn't play slideshow. I wish it could!

This was from another forum

A much better one in my opinion

Ok... this is kind of an all in one thing. It has a nice look, plays videos, Mp3's, and has a picture viewer that lets you view .jpg and .jpeg images. I know it would be cool if it let you view .gif or .png images too, but since most pics from cameras are .jpeg's this should be ok. I uploaded it for you. It's for 480x272 resolution. If you need 320x240 let me know... but it will have a different skin for 320x240.

For Xtyler (and others).

I decided to replace the script program used in the SD free unlocks with a more powerful one, widely used on PNA and PDA. The program is called MortScript. ( [Only Registered Users Can See Links . Click Here To Register] ). I'm sure many of you are already familiar with it.The version included in the package is 4.2 (most current at this date).

On the surface there is no difference as many will just edit the launcher script (ini) file , but this powerful scripting program has a lot of additional options, and there are a lot of scripts already available for it out there. For example you can easily do such things as copy files from one folder in Windows folder if the files do not exist (in my script I copy some fonts which I need for Navigon program).

As a note, the files called miomap.exe and miomap.exe.id in this package are in fact Mort's Autorun.exe (renamed) see MortScript documentation (I generated a proper ID for MIO Cx20 series), not the old files with the same name.

The script itself is in the file: miomap.mscr; Be free to extend it with additional commands.

Here is the link of my current configuration ( files related to the new scripting are in MIOMAP sub folder).

Default Finally have a working SD-Free Unlock for the c310 or c510

SD-Free Unlock for c310/c510

I had to lose Resco, but replaced it with another picture viewer. I added a nice MP3 player that also lets you view pictures (but upside down for some reason). Included is also winamp. I also included icons for the most popular navigation apps that work on the device. I had to use CECMD instead of windows explorer, but it works the same way and even has more functionality than windows explorer. A calculator is included as well as a notepad with keyboard. Installation is tricky because you need active sync and in order to install this via active sync you'll need my SD unlock running first. You can delete the SD unlock off the SD card after installing this. After you put the files in the proper place on the internal drive, you will want to shut off your device using the on/off switch and then pop out the SD card so the SD-Unlock doesn't load (if you haven't deleted it off the SD card) and then start your device. The unlock will start when you hit the MioMap button. To delete the unlock or modify it after it is on your device, you can just shut it down, put my SD Unlock back on your SD card and put it in your device, start it back up and the SD Unlock will load. You can then switch it back to USB mode and then modif or delete the files through active sync. I have played with this and everything with it works. So enjoy.

Xtyler,
Thanks for the Shinco, it is really nice. Only problem is while exiting, it is throwing a small error message box.

Bart851,
I copied the RFileShell03.dll (It is there in the Resco folder) to windows, still no luck Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see images.
Did you try the GQ picture viewer? It's very similar to resco but doesn't require any extra .dll's. I uploaded it as an attachment at the bottom of this post. As for the error with Shinco, I am not seeing it on my c320. I did run into issues with it on my c310 and sum that up to the fact I think it is for CE 5.0. I replaced it with Fortunal player, which has a drawback, the picture viewer shows the pictures upsidedown. I do like GQ for a picture viewer because it is simple to use. It is what it is, a simple picture viewer with no frills or thrills. It doesn't look all bad though... worth a try.

Quote:
You can check or not when you copy something in Windows folder ( probably checking will be a little bit faster, but for small programs does not really matter). Also on most PNAs when you copy something in Windows folder you copy in fact in a shadow RAM not on the flash (as the Windows flash is read only) so you do not use flash write cycles. Same if you write something in the registry, is a shadow RAM in fact ( this is why you lose the content after hard reset). On PDAs ( Windows Mobile) is different, registry settings are permanent.

I think copying a few DLLs is so fast than you will not see a difference even if you do the copy each time when the script starts (it's easier this way than to do it only when you start an application).

As long as we set just a few applications, I would do whatever copy and registry settings necessary every time you start the script, not only when you start a specific application.
Doesn't work. I used your Mortscript and modified it with an xcopy line to copy a few .dll's to windows when the unlock starts. I also looked to see if it copied the Font you had already in there and it was a no go. None of it copied to the windows folder when the unlock started, not even the font. I am pretty sure whenever you want to copy anything to a mio's windows files you need to do so with a restart line. Essentually as is there is no difference between using Mortscript or the .scp file to start the systeminformation.exe since that is the only thing that happens when you hit the miomap button to launch the skin. I am in noway an expert at mortscript, but just based on what I added and what you had, looking in the windows folder on my c320 there none of the stuff from the xcopy lines ends up there.... at least not that I can see through windows explorer. Now, we can use mortscript similar to what miopocket does and have it install the .dll's and restart. That is easy enough to do. The reason I don't want to do it that way is because on devices like the c320, where battery life isn't very long, it would mean having to have the device restart everytime you hit the miomap button to load the unlock. Not a really big deal for some people, but I am looking for quick access (most of the time) to the unlock screen so I can start navigating. By just having the miomap button just load another screen quickly, I think it is perfect for people just wanting a quick way to lainch their navigation software. As for other tools, I have a video player that works without the need for extra .dll's, a picture viewer that works without the need for extra .dll's, as well as the calculator. It does limit the choices of which tools or apps people might want to run, but the alternatives aren't all bad. I actually like the Shinco player which on the c320 works as a video player, picture viewer, and mp3 player. The skin for shinco looks nice to.
