New version of Destinator 8 available
At disneylandarez.org there is a new release of Destinator 8 with new US maps. I have it running on my c320 and c520. You will have to change the port setting and baud setting to match your device. For my mio's it was port 2 and baud 57600. Worth grabbing. It hasn't been mirrored yet and is up on rapidshare. So might want to nab it fast before rapidshare takes it down. I would post the links here, but it's easily findable at disneylandarez. Oh, if you want an "exit" button use the second skin that is with it. It's already included in the download.

If you plan on only using English, then you don't need to download the Spanish or French Canadian parts, those are only for those specific voices. If you plan on using it on a mio c320 or c520 then you'll have to: Go to the \Storage Card\Destinator\UserData open the GPSTMC.ini and you have to change there the PORT=2 BAUD_RATE=57600 It will be different depending on your device. To get the "quit" button to exit the program, just change the skin in the settings menu to the other skin provided. This way you can easily exit the program. Have fun with it. I have been toying with it for a couple days now and I like it. It isn't as quick as Igo8, but the routing might even be better than Igo8. Since JM is retiring, I think it might be a good idea to start exploring other options in terms of navigation softwares and this is a good start. Forgive my ignorance, but would this work on a C230 (320x240)? I searched around on disneylandarez and found info that D7 should work but didn't see an posts relative to D8. Thanks!

Need some help
I have a mio c520 running igo8 and miomap .The IGO8 is on a sd card and running flawlessly ,i have downloaded the destinator sorftware,made a new directory on the SD card and unrared the detinator software to this and all the map and road files (KEEPING THEIR WON DIRECTORY) and changed the one file file as suggested.I tried to run the software from windows and theprogram started then stopped at the SELECT MAP page and in the window it says MAP NOT FOUND.Any guidance would be appreciated.Guests cannot see images in the messages. I think someone should have a newer maps of Canada since it's included with the North_America maps on the Omnitech GPS on sale @ Staples.ca. If someone has it, could you upload please. Thanks

Where to put the maps
What is the correct folder structure to place the maps in.
sdcard\destinator\???\??? I can get it to start, but it is asking for a map. |
