iGO/MioMap Software

On your flash disk you will have a MioMap folder. Make a new folder called IGO8 and copy the contents of IGO and maps into it.

The delete everything in your MioMap/Miomap folder (and backup of course), leaving only miomap.exe, miomap.exe.id and a miomap text document containing the following,


call "\My Flash Disk\IGO8\igo8.exe"

Thats all I did on mine. Now when I press the miomap button on start up screen, IGO 8 starts instead.

It's seem to be clear your procedure.
Thus i do not eliminate miomap.exe and miomap.exe.id ...
For data.zip, must i place a new data.zip who will be good with IGO 8 or i let the one old?
And if i don't change my mio data flash in the mio C520T, can i create the IGO folder only to my SD card (2 Gb) ? Can i use your procedure only on my SD card ?
That is good too or not ?
And can i find IGO 8 folder in download and or ???

And why come this funny tombal stone with R.I.P. in front of new maps (maps from IGO 8) when i place them in my SD cards with miomap 3.3 ???

And the maps cards for miomap 3.3, i'm the version from 0707, are there new versions for benelux, germany, france and czech, ... ?
And if yes, wher can i downloaded theses new maps version for miomap 3.3 ,

I bought a Mio Digiwalker C320 (no bluetooth) duty free from Israel thinking I would have got it cheap there. However I find that they did not have western europe maps there or supply them and when got one from the mio store I found it did not work, later to be told that my mio device was regionally locked.

I bought this a couple of years ago so it is not updated at all and still in its box. I only have the Israel Map on Sd Card to go with it.

I have trawled through all the threads and am totally lost.

I can link it to my computer and access the flash memory on the device and the SD card if inserted. I assume that I can delete all visible files on the flash drive and remove the sd card so all I have on it are the windows ce program showing the display screen giving options for settings, audio, pictures and navigation starting with an orange mio tech screen at startup.

What file do I need to get to replace them with to unlock it? provide link if possible.
Where can I get the UK and Western Europe map? provide link if possible.

Basically an overview of what files I should see in my directory of the device to get it working. I have seen that iGO8 is the new software and not to bother trying to get Mio stuff.

Probably been asked a hundred times or more but please help if you can.

i am using a 320 and have voice directions but they are very basic such as " turn in 400 feet". is there a way to add tts so it will say the streets?

Hello all

I am trying to install iGO 8 on my becker 7934 with Win CE4.2. i put the app on my SD card but when i try to open it, it starts then stops and takes me back to the SD card folder.

Any Ideas? now i havent put the maps folder in there yet. could that be the reason? the only reason i havent done that is because it takes so long to tranfer over i wanted to make sure the app worked first.

i originally had a becker 7934 but now i have miopocket on it instead of the software that came with it. But i cant get any GPS program to work. i really wanted iGO8 cuz i heard it was one of the best. If someone could please help my i would greatly appreciate it.

copy into your Miomap folder on flash disk. Rename the original ones first to Miomap.exeOLD, license.dbOld, etc

Copy in new maps to Miomap/maps folder on Flash or to Miomap/maps on SD card

Hi!!. I bought a C520 in Mexico, this thing have a destinator 7 software, right now I been used a simple unlock V2, with this unlock I can used a lot of software with problems like this:

PolNav, I thing is great, maps are ok, but the POIs are realy old, can somebody tell me how can I make my owns POIs?
MioMap2008, I cant find Mexico maps for this software
TOMTOM, another great software, but the mexico maps are really old as same as POIs
MioMapV3.3, I thing its better than destinator 7, but when its reading de mainscreen appears the next messaje "FFUIERROR: Unknown layer referenced Identifier= (ui_navigate_poi_goto)" any ideas?

You won't have much luck with Miomap in Mexico since the only maps ,so far, are Major Roads only, with no POIs

All is great, but I want to change one thing : for turn indication (in 3d) I see the flat guidan. arrows on the guidan. strip & I also see the moving guid. arrows also - this is too much. What should I change in the sys.txt to leave just the moving arrows ?

Hi,
I didn't see this posted anywhere. When I run miomap and look at the settings it says that I have miomap v3.3 sept 5 2007 and Israel 2006.7 maps (not quite sure how that works since the file date on the miomap.exe is 5/27/05, the files size is 2,983,948 bytes)

My questions are -
1) where can I get the latest Israel maps
2) will the cracked license I have (license-africa) still work?
3) is there a newer miomap?

Hi all,

Just a thank you - followed the instructions here using Testmode, copied the aussie 8.0 maps over, kept the original data.zip, copied easyrider.exe, the worldwide licence file and fonts.

With the underlying OS being Windows CE 5.0 it's pretty easy to install new stuff and make changes.

works a treat.

BTW - just be careful with the radio tuning - in australia and the US it's 200kHz steps, not 100KHz and all odd frequencies, this 96.9 ( Sydney Nova station ) is good but London's ( Europe ) Capital radio is on 95.8 which is not possible to get to.

I'm sure there's a hack for the radio - just haven't seen one on any forums to date.

Responsible for showing the moving/old version arrows are the following lines in sys.txt file. You don't have to remove the lines completely, just add semicolon as I did below.
