I've deleted all the posts because I want to use a new layout of posting the download links.

Please check the table below and post in this thread only what is missing or its outdated and I will modify accordingly.

Hopefully this way the links will be much easier to follow. The USA maps links will be added tomorrow , I had a busy day today.

i have no prob to supply them for the forum but i dont know how to upload them or anything. you guys helped me a lot with getting new maps for my mio c230s and its shitty that the forum crashed.

i also still have abst220 which is the mio 3.3 sept 07 crck and bella which is the dec 07 version i think.

do you want the packs that were pretty popular earlier. pls advise...

I recently got a C230 and I am trying to use 2007.07 maps (for US states). I copied the files in storage card MioMap\Maps folder. But when I start MioMap I get an error that the files dont have license. There is a license.db in the storage card MioMap\Maps folder. What should I do now? (Should I get a cracked version of MioMap or something? Where should I get it? Currently I am running 2007.1 maps without any problem)

there are two brazilian maps available
one can, found here in this thread, is version 7.0 (070716) its about 90 mb in size
the other is version 7.1 (071109) its about 114 mb in size and can be found here:

both have incorrect street speeds, and this problem affects the route calculation (when using fast route mode).
for example
marginal pinheiros (street's name)
version 7.0 = 80 km/h
version 7.1 = 130 km/h
real life = 90 km/h
that's why I prefer version 7.0

I checked California. Map is updated for sure but POI is cut short compare to 12M of 2007.01. I am for updated map compare to POI. But some will update new map with full POI on later date (updated C520/C720 - 2 GB) :D

Hey all... I've been trying to crack Go!explore for PSP since last week.... it seems they changed the .lic format from platform to platform. I managed to decript the software somehow (eboot.bin).. any help (And i mean any) would be very welcomed.

Glad the site is back up and running.You can tell how many POIs a US map set has by its total size. 2007.01 and 2007.07 are about 1.8 GB is size and contain >10 MM POIs. (The 2007.07 set is actually slightly bigger than the 2007.01 and has a few more POIs.) The 2007.10 set by comparison is about 0.8 GB and was designed for MIOs like the C320 with memory limited to 1 GB. Maps of 0.8 GB have about 1 MM POIs.

To show you how limited this is, try doing a search for 'Home Depot' on a 2007.10 map set. You won't find it.

OK, I decided to upload the entire set of USA and Canada 2007.07 maps (1.8 GB) :) . You can download them here:

Not sure if the new maps will help. Basically routes me in a roundabout way. Forces me to go straight thru an intersection then takes a side road to reverse direction instead of taking the most direct turn, a left at the intersection. This manuver makes the MIO think the shortest and fastest route calculated is thru some other crazy back roads instead of the more direct route I've been taking for years. I believe the maps may not allow a left turn at the lntersection so this screws everthing up. We'll see if 2007.07 does the same thing.

All 2007.07 USA maps are available from official V7 web site. Each state map is a separate download, but as this is not a file sharing service, there's no limit, and speed is usually good (well, at least before you guys start killing the server downloading these maps :D)!
USA 2007.07 Maps (approx 11M POI, 1.7GB)/ (http://v7support.com/V7GPS/Updates/USA/Nav740/Map_Files/US_Premium_(approx11M_POI--1.7GB--v200707)/).
Unfortunately, it's not 2007.10 version yet, but this is the newest so far with the large POI number...

I'm having some toruble. The files I DL'd were not named correclty for the 2007.07 extract. So I renamed the incorrect ones. When they extracted, they were mostly 2007.01 maps. I also had a problem with florida. It would not accept the PW. Am I doing something wrong? :confused:

Not sure if the 2007.07 maps will change your routing. There's a forum on gpspassion on crazy Mio routing :rolleyes:. If you see no improvement between Easy, Fast, Short, or Economical, you can try Avoid Maneuver or Avoid Street. Other than that, I can't think of anything.

This will start the extraction of all 8 parts into a 2007.07 folder with 57 individual maps. It's not possible to extract only one state from the archive. The exact file names of the states do not matter; Miomap will recognize the state maps regardless of the leading part of the name. For example, Florida is named USA_Florida_2007.07_070813.fbl. This is OK as it is named, and it is the 2007.07 map dated 8-13-2007.

I downloaded the Mass map and placed into the C320 maps and renamed previous file. When run mio-map get warning that map is locked. Any help would be appreciated.

New map has speedlimit for major roads so "Fast" routing is accurate/ better compare to 2007.01. But POI # sucks. I dont have to replace the licence.db or the miomap.exe or something else? Like in the thread about C250... :confused:

Becouse only patch it with your patch and then copy it to the device (C520) doesnt work.

Try to re-download, i got the same problem, some maps are truncated (problem with uploaded.to depending the download hour..).

they work but if you use them on the road in greece while you drive you reach at certain areas that are ommited from the map and it goes crazy and doesnt work. if you erase the after 7/07 map it works.???????any answers?i have multiple versions of the maps installed and the latest doesnt nesserally has all the streets of the previous. its quite mesy

There isn't any map for Iceland :( I was looking for one as well , but there wasn't any released , this sucks big time.

No Canary Islands either, aren't those included in Spain map ?

Sorry it was not the Canary Islands that where missing they are part of the Spain map, but it looks like Madeira and Porto Santos is missing and I have the Portugal maps installed

:confused: Hi there,

I have a MIO P550 with Australia Mio Map v3.2 in SD. I tried to download the New York Map and copied it to the maps folder inside the SD.

When I run MIO MAP it said the some map files are LOCKED, which I would assume the NY file.

Can someone please HELP me as I'm not sure if I did this right. Do I need to copy any license or how can I Unlocked the file.

Try to replace the file "licence.db", it should help. You can find the file in the apps in this forum - look for Mio Software.

Hi all,

I have an unlocked C230 and I just went ahead and updated the August 07 MioMap software to the Jan 08 version. All I did was copy the MioMap.exe (after backing up the original) and miomap.exe.id. The instructions said I did not have to do anything with the license file nor do I have to copy over the included data.zip which is not for my C230. I ran MioMap and everything looks fine and I went to the about screen and the date is now Jan 08. The GPS seems to recognize the location even faster now, but sadly when I went to copy over a 2007.7 or 2007.10, it would not recognize either. I am assuming I needed to do something with my license file, but I don't know where to find a "cracked" one. For now, I can still use the 2007.1 maps but if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated!

I dl'd all the US map pack but now I get an error that some of my maps are locked. Where do I get an updated license.dat file for these updated maps?

OK, I decided to upload the entire set of USA and Canada 2007.07 maps (1.8 GB) :) . You can download them here:

Hi, I have a mio c710 and i 'm trying to update the maps with newer one. But afterwards when i use the miomap i get the message " the map is isolated".
Could someone explain what that message means?
i have to say a that i didn't update all the Europe maps and that i'm using the miomap v.3.2 March 2007

Greece map is isolated - no junkctions points with other maps. You can route only inside country...

I thought Sharebig was going to be the solution, but I can see that they aren't reliable. I've decided to host these myself instead.

I managed to meltdown my one of my hd's a week ago, so I've been busy dwnld'n maps and such to get back to where I was. What I was able to save from the drive is not reliable. I just fininshed downloading your archives, When I extract, I'm getting PW errors on Maryland and Wisconsin. Everthing else was fine.

There are two different version of the Greece map - a pretty basic one with just the main roads and the other with much more details. Unfortunately only the basic one allows routing across borders...

I am traveling on business in Italy next week. I bought my C220 last year and have tried to BUY the SD card for European maps, but Mio has a horrible website and won't answer my e-mail inquiries.

I'd like my device to work when I am in Europe, and want to buy the full European map while I'm there (I hope I can find it) Can someone tell me how I can make at least the Italian map work in the interim?

I've downloaded the 2007.01 map of Italy, but can't make it work as the map files do not come with the miomap.exe or license.db files that are required.

Make sure all of the parts of the 2007.07 maps are in a single directory. Start the unrar process on the first part with Winrar - all parts will then expand to a new sub-folder. Major roads has to be extracted separately.

Maps can be installed on your flash drive under \Miomap\Miomap|MAPS or on your SD card under \Miomap\MAPS. You can put some of the files in each location - it doesn't matter as both locations are accessable to Miomap at startup. Make sure you copy your existing maps to a location on your computer for saving before deleting them - it's easier than reloading them from the installation CD.

If your Jan. 10, 2008 Miomap.exe is a "cracked" version, you just need to replace Miomap.exe.id and license.db as well to use the new maps.

Try downloading part06 again. The Jan 2008 miomap.exe from the Belgian update is not cracked - use the files from:

whats the difference between regular and premium.. also it looks like these are the .7 maps where gpsu posted the .10 maps. It looks like the .7 maps have more poi's as they are larger. However, the .10 maps (at least in my area) have the newest roads. thanks

My experience is that .10 maps have more errors and worse routing than .7 but your mileage may vary.

chico - interesting point.. I too was noticing that tonight.. the .10 maps (at least for ohio) are more detailed as far as roads, but I did notice inconsistnacies in the routing that I messed around with tonight.

My C520 is whining about my USA_Major_Roads_2007.07_070813.fbl . As every other map belongs to the 2007.10 series, I think it should exist a USA Major Roads 2007.10 version.
Every time I start my GPS it warns me about "new versions available" to be updated on home site.(www.mio-tech.com).

Does anyone know or heard something about?

You sent me a PM, but I can't reply because you're not allowing it. Here's what my reply would have said:
Use the Miomap.exe, Miomap.exe.id, and license.db from either download - they're the same. Just don't replace your data.zip from these files. Also, once you've installed a "cracked" Miomap.exe and the other two files, you'll be able to use any Igo/Mio map that you can find.

i wonder if anyone has the latest Hungary map. The one i have is Hungary_2007.10_071204. Anyone who knowor have the later than this file?? if yes, can i know where to download it from?

I am looking for the California 2007.07 map as I have a c230s that has 2007.07 maps in it, with the US major roads. I dont need any other maps just the california 2007.07. Does anyone have a link where I do not have to download all?

Hi, fellas, need your help. I have 7" unit, and I cant manage to see full screen, only part of it or screen without buttons. My previous version of 2006 fits perfect, but the sys file doesn work for 2008. Please let me know if there is a way to change other files.
