Ive been reading that alot of people are having trouble getting this to work on there devices hope this package might help you

Just extract the the folder and swap it with the "Navigator" folder already on your device or SD card


TT7 Package for the ppl having trouble with DLLs this pack might help.

Sorry but thanks for trying ..Just tried this on my CE 4.2 Chinese radio and it did not work.... won't even try to load. Even using the TomTom Navigator.exe from my working version did not work. Shame as my only issue with TomTom is the voice not completing instructions hoped it would fix it.

this is for win ce 5 as stated but the dll files may work with you unit replace the .exe and data.chk in this pack with yours and see if it works but not garrenteed tho

i have wince5 and it works ok for me just u cant run any other app while tt7 is running or youll get a "Not Enough Memory Error" but if its running alone its perfect.

Post the contents of the "ttnavigator.bif" or the file itself and i will have a look.

put these in the navigator foler make a backup of the old ones first just updates TT7 to 7.451 then try the DCT in the map folder should work cause its the same version TT7 as mine and the unlock method is a bit different

Running WINCE 5, Got 50mb memory free, 64mb in total. Runs TomTom 6 without many issues.

I can start TomTom with that patch but it's not saying my Map activation code is wrong.

mmmm the only way i get memory errors is when im running TT7 with other apps what map u using and is there an active route on while trying to load TT7

Yet but its more of a hack as its not for navigator but navcore i will post it later is self explaining you drop the likes on a sd card unplug
The card plug it back in then good recognises it simple. But ill post files later

Most sat nav devices running wince are stript to the bones only files needed for the original app are left on the device this package has most files needed but ill have to re upload as rapidshare has deemed it illegal content lol

For mapshare extract the content of SD CARD to a SD CARD[/COLOR[COLOR="Blue"]](Better Off Using A Blank One) unplug the card , re plug the card in the card reader then TTHome will pick it up as a TTGo, this is not my work so creds go to the person that did mapshare..

this pack contains most dll file fore WinCE5 but in your cause its still missing one or two thats what the error message is, youll have to use a hex editor and search the ".EXE" file and the ".DLL" files for ".dll" and see which ones are in the pack and which is missing.

Inside the Easytools folder put your Device ID inside "Device ID.txt" makes things easy

Then run the file "RunMeforDCT.cmd" and follow the options to unlock the map. this pack contains TT7.451

For TT7.451 use "Opion 1(Navcore 8........), Option 1(insert_meta_from_Map_here)"

Sorry for not putting much detail into it but im pretty busy and havent got time.

it should work if its WinCE5 but youll first have to unlock your device using an unlock method but for your device im not sure how

It sounds more like power setting as the device is going into suspend until you touch the screen its waking back up. Have you tried turning the power settings to never in control panel for bothe ac power and battery power

When I rename SD Card from SDMMC to other name "SD Card" in the registry (like somebody advice in another formu), The CELauncher.exe" doesn't start after reset. And I edit registry and device don't start with or without card :-(. Be carefuly !!! A moment I afrait that the iPaq is rubbish. I must use MMC card, from this other type of card the program CELauncher start.
So I don't say is nesesary to copy Tomtom into device, or rename the directory.
It's only my way.

Well ive check the package and yep its my release repassworded and you no how i can tell its cause the splash screen is 320x320 resided by me, as the original one does not have this splash screen or size.

I'm not sure what you are saying here. I'm simply using the package here in this thread posted here by the OP. I simply copied the navigator folder to the SD card, applied the "meta" fix for the map, and everything works just fine.

If you do not run Tomtom from "desktop", but directly after device reset thru the big one button Navigator (remap this button, not ro run NAV, but Tomtom navigator.exe), the TomTom will be running without freezing :-)

I just to test Tomtom only for short time (on my way to work and back - 15 minits), but to seems work OK.

Now I have some question. I tried to installed TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-vga-black.cab on Hp310 and got error messages for data.chk and other files from package. It makes directory "tomtom" and "navigator" but "data.chk" is only 7MB and there are no other files. Because "error" Win Ce deleting directories after reboot.
Installing from SD to HP310.
Maybe the file is corrupted?

I had the same problem. Check your battery settings. Make sure you change everything to "Never".

The reason I want to instll TT7.450.9028 is, because when you intall from the cab.file it installs a icon on the today screen to tap and access TT.

Ok read the whole thread + the other one re PNA & WINCE...

Looks like because I have a Mio Moov 300 I need the addtional dlls which others have report to atleast get TT complaining about a map rather than complaining about not being a windows CE application.

also check exe reports the following dlls missing...
coredll.dll
ole32.dll
oleaut32.dll
wininet.dll
winsock.dll

The creation of the dct file should be easy from here...I eventually found a working link to the EasyTools, I have the Aussie Map V815.2059 I have my Mio unlocked..it should all be sweet! I just need TT to run to get the bik file....

If anyone has all or some of these dlls from CE5 can they provide a link?

Not sure what I did but I think after a hard reset TT no longer works....keeps telling me it is not a valid ce application.

Ok I found the problem & I have a temporary fix...

the file OLE32.dll which is in S30.rar needs to be copied to the windows directory. The version is important since the one already on the Mio won't work.

Then perform a soft reset & then TT should work! Note a hard reset will restore the 'bad' file back in.

Now I just have to work out how I can get Miopocket to load that across on each hard reset without stuffing up the original flash & thus functionality without the SD card!

Hi StormyKnight , I have not got as far as you, have Miopocket V37 installed and Igo8 but can not get TomTom to install at all, screen just quickly flashes. The TomTom versions I have found are "not a WinCE file".

Sounds like you have a good handle on this what version of TomTom are you using please.

OK I have it working on a Mio Moov 300 64MB ram & Mio Pocket V36.....

If you get a message 'not a valid CE application' OR the screen seems to flicker to portrait & straight back to landscape OR the little arrows '>>" on the stopword theme change to '<<' & back again then the problem usually is....

You need to locate & remove from your MioPocket Install SD card the file softkb.dll.

Also if after doing the above & it still fails, it will be due to a lack of free memory - if you have run another program & then tried to run TT it may fail. I have added a button to my Miopocket Favorites screen that performs a soft reset so that it will clear up the memory & TT will work again. I have similar issues with IGO8 too. But on first boot & you run TT first it should work straight away.

Previously I had talked about the OLE32.DLL file needing to be copied across, this is not the case....what actaully was happening was when we copied that file across it was stopping the softkb.dll file from being copied on MioPocket install due to lack of space & thus TT would work. Also you will find that explorer.exe also now works!

TT should now load, but complain about the maps.......the next step from here is to create a new key for the maps......

Let me know if anyone gets stuck getting this far...then we can go over the key bit if required....

This last package worked fine on my Mio Moov 500. Two things havce to happen on Mio for GPS to fix:
1. Chipset output has to be set to NMEA insteasd of SIRF (see GPSPassion forums)
2. Receiver has to be set to Other NMEA device, 57600 Baud (unlike what the instructions say there), not 4800!

I've got a Mesada_2440 as well. The way they have implemented CE is absolutely crappy.

They have some how managed to map the storage card as \StorageCard where as the standard CE mapping is \Storage Card (note the space between words)

I have wasted a good day on this to try and find a way around it with no luck. Seems TomTom just doesn't want to know about the storage card with the non-standard path.

Unless there is a way to hack into the CE config for the device (which I'd love!) and reset that path it looks like TomTom ain't gonna run.

ive followed all your instructions on the easy tools.
when getting the dct in dos, it comes up map not supported at this time.
wrong device id.

i posted the info a few posts up.

tom tom loads, sets units, prefs, it shows the maps, but activation code failed.
ive tried 4 maps with there meta texts, meta files, pna files?
just cant activate, i am achingly close.

i just had another fiddle.
i used your tt7 black.
with the maps id previously unlocked with easy tools,(the map unlock that said maps not currently supported and wrong device id)
worked straight away.
put unlocked maps in a folder i made My Documents
i put this inside the navagator file along with all the bif file vioces and so on.
turned on,found maps straight away, set other nme receiver 9600 buad.
4 secs later.

this means though that even if easy tools "dct" gives error messages,as long as you have the dct file, the map may be unlocked!

Hi Guys! I have a Chinese 5" GPs which runs WinCe6....has anyone managed to runTomTom on any WinCe6 device......I have tried all combinations and this is my problem.....If I do not have maps with correct activation files, hen TomTom works and comes with "Activation Failed" message. But if I have maps with correct activation files, I end up with a " Not enough memory" error....even a hard reset does not get me over this error screen:crying:......Can someone help!

Hi,

I have a IPAQ 310 and I have installed the latest version of TomTom 7 by just copying the TomTom Navigator.exe, and data.chk file into the Games folder on the device. TomTom shows up as a game and I can run it without any problems, however, it can't find the maps. I've tried copying the maps into all sorts of directories without being successful in having TomTom find the maps. Can someone help me and tell me where the maps should go so that TomTom finds them and if I need to do anymore hacks?

No tomtom 7 for WINCE 6 don't exist!
But use the tutorial for WINCE 4.2 on WINCE 6 > works fine ;)

TomTom loads but of course it says no maps can be found. But my problem is that I'm struggling with the map process. Firstly, where can I find my device ID?
Secondly, if anyone is willing to load everything (with Aussie maps and voices) on a micro SD that I would post to you, I will happily pay you for the service!!

To post some further feedback:
I have this weird issue regarding the GPS signal. I have configured my GPS device as other NMEA, 4500baud, GPS_NAV port and I see that the device finds satellites. I can navigate perfectly after a while, but the indication of the signal strength will always indicate that there is no signal. Also, neither of the satellite signals turn blue (to show that the signal is used for location determination).

Anyone got the same weird thing?

Have you activated the map with a Keygen ? - Like Easy Activator?
Whre is your mapfolder located?
Are your map files located in that folder or in a sub folder?
Have you tried different locations for the mapfolder ,like in the root ,inside the Navigator folder ,inside "My Documents" ??
Have you read the whole thread to see if your answers was already posted?

I have a Miomap Dgiwalker c320 runnig ce 5.0 TomTom 7.34
Eveything works fine except for it freezing. Yo hit menu and start itbk up nd it runs for a few minutes then freezes again.

I also have IGO8 running on another card without any problems.

I'm using UK Ireland v815.2024, and even though the various Keygens ive used have all said they have been sucessful, TomTom is still giving the "This is not the correct activation code for the product..."

I asume you mean the navman S30. It is basically the same as the F10.
Check out the Sticky on the home page (4th one down) you just need the files for a windows ce 5.0 device
