adding up to 5 gmapsupp.img in external SD Card?

Can I put up to 5 gmapsupp.img into my external SD Card like this?

gmapsupp.img
gmapsup2.img
gmapsup3.img
gmapsup4.img
gmapsup5.img


with a single gmapsupp.unl (containing the above 5 unlock codes shown in the order like below)

eg.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I have combined all the images into a single image with the gmap tool and then created the gmapsupp.unl unlock file as you have done.

gmaptool -j -o gmapsupp.img gmapsupp1.img gmapsupp2.img

Note: gmapsupp.img is the combined map, gmapsupp1.img, etc is the individual map to combine.

Then put the resultant gmapsupp.img and gmspsupp.unl file in the garmin folder of your SD card.

Hi,

Instead of combining them, what if i want to keep them separate so that I only need to update the individual map should there be a new release?

Can I continue to keep them as gmapsupp1.img, gmapsupp2.img, etc? (did i spell them correctly? or was it gmapsup1.img, gmapsup2.img?)

You only can put four maps in the SD card, if the device have more memory you can put one.
multiple map in GMXT in SD card:
1) Gmapbmap.img Basemap
2) gmapprom.img gmapprom.unl rename your map.
3) gmapsupp.img gmapsupp.unl
4) gmapsup2.img gmapsup2.unl

Device storage:
5) gmapsupp.img a small size map file.

On Samsung i900/Omnia it have my storage(16GB) in device.
Storage card (Micro SD up to max of 8GB).

You can have 4 big maps including the basemap in my storage the map name as above and one map in the storage card.
