I am using 200W's loaded with map of Turkey (2009.06) for sometime. Got a 265W recently and loaded the same map without any problem. Than found the 2010.01 map. Loaded to 200W's and they worked without any glitch. But the same map failed on the 265W. While powering on the "map loading" bar filled very slowly 'till the middle and stopped and than when the power on cycle completed got an error message saying "map error" and a mapless blank screen. All of these GPS' have US map built in and the TURKEY map is loaded on SD card under \GARMIN subdirectory including their respective SWL.UNL and GMAPSUPP.UNL files.
Am I missing something or does 265W reqires a different way of loading?
ps: found different img files related to the same release, loaded them one by one, all failed. The difference was the bar was filled differently on each one. Some of them were shorter, some of them were closer to full.

When I connect my Garmin nuvi 200 to recharge in my car it seems that if I connect it to a PC. What is the wrong with my Garmin??
Sounds like it's the wrong model charger for your or the actual charger cable has been damaged. The fact that it boots up in computer mode is an indication that the 200 is recognizing the USB connection and it is probably charging ok. What you are experiencing happens often if you are trying to power a Nuvi with a Motorola USB car charger. Some work and some don't. Not all Garmin chargers will work correctly with all nuvi models either.
Try this and see what happens...
- boot the GPS as you are doing and let it come up in PC mode
- slide the GPS power switch to the "screen lock" position and leave it there
- remove the USB connector from the GPS for about a second or 2 and plug it back in and wait a few seconds
I'm not sure about a Nuvi 200 but in a few Nuvi models, the GPS will then re-boot itself and come up normal GPS mode with the screen locked. If that happens you can take it out of "screen lock" mode and use it.
